Cue the opinions. There’s been a continuing debate about whether or not governments should have a say in making parents vaccinate their kids. And yesterday, Australian PM Tony Abbott made his opinion clear. He announced that some government benefits will be denied to Australian parents who refuse to vaccinate their kids. In recent years, a few US states and some European countries have experienced the lovely throwback of measles…partially thanks to the anti-vaccination movement. So more than a few people will now be watching to see what happens Down Under.

Parents should not be forced to vaccinate their children. In my opinion, vaccinations don't even work. The only reasons they sometimes work is because people believe they will, so they do. Plus big needles suck. It's not worth it to fight your children all the way to the doctors for a dumb shot that only causes tears, stress, and possibly the very disease you're trying to prevent.

Parents should not be forced to vaccinate their children. This would let the government open a lot more doors forvgetting into everyone's business. The Giver is a perfect example. Everyone is forced to take pills that prevent them from loving one another and prevents them from seeing colors. The government should just make it harder to do things without a vaccination. For example you can't go into Disneyland with out a measels vaccination or you can't play sports at school without a vaccination.
